Padma Menon is a leading dancer in the Kuchipudi style of dance, which is an ancient Indian temple dance tradition. She has danced extensively in India, Australia and the Netherlands and developed one of the first professional non-western dance companies that had a national and international performance profile; She also developed a centre for dance in India which helped women to live their full and sacred presence in their lives.
Padma talks to Julie about what it involves-- dancing in this ancient tradition, partnering with a variety of Goddesses and embodying both ferocity and pleasure as an experience of the divine feminine..

Martin Stepek's free weekly mindfulness class in his hometown of Hamilton Scotland was the largest of its kind in Britain for years. During the CoVID shutdowns, Martin went online and for 15 months he hosted a daily mindfulness experience on FaceBook live with as many as 3000 people attending at times. He called this grand experiment "Ten for Zen".
Here Martin talks with Julie about how mindfulness entered his life and reshaped him from the inside out. He shares how it was a dream come true being able to offer a free mindfulness class to his home community that welcomed his birth family in when they needed it most.

Sara Stenson can't remember a time growing up when she wasn't riding horses—starting as a child on her family's ranch in Wyoming. Here she walks Julie through a serendipitous path of how working with horses became her livelihood and her calling in life. She started as a young massage therapist, became a teacher of equine massage, and then established her own equine academy. Sara also reads three of her poems.

Sara Basehart shares how recycled materials and creative process make beautiful art and a successful retail business in Taos New Mexico.
Sara Basehart is an artist whose medium is recycling. After building an earth-ship with her husband in the high desert of Taos New Mexico, Sara became immersed in a whole new art form based on trash compilations screwed to wooden bases reclaimed from the local ReStore and other sources. Each piece can take up to 5 years to complete.
An earthship is a house built out of cans, tires and bottles plastered with adobe dirt and solar powered as well as rain water collecting. It was a shocking moment of truth when she realized she should be living her whole life by these same concepts: recycled, reused, renewed, and transformed with her two hands.

After years of engaging in theater and making art on her own, Georgia returned to Taos years later to open up a gallery/store selling local art. Georgia’s sense of ease with how she makes and curates art is a beautiful story of the impact of growing up in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in an environment in love with all things creative.
